(Directed by Christopher Boydell) A celebrated 2011 stage adaptation by David Wood, based on the classic 1981 children’s novel by Michelle Magorian.
Set during the early stages of World War II, it tells the poignant story of William Beech, a young boy evacuated from London to the countryside, and his developing bond with the elderly recluse Tom Oakley.
