Pride and Prejudice

17th - 3rd June 2018

(by Jane Austen) Pride and Prejudice is a streamlined theatrical version of the classic novel involving manners, courtship and relationships.

Finding a husband is hardly Elizabeth Bennet’s most urgent priority. But, with an overzealous match-making mother, a string of unsuitable suitors and four sisters, it is difficult to escape the subject. When the independent-minded Elizabeth meets the handsome but enigmatic Mr. Darcy, all feelings of attraction are muted by his pride and her prejudice. As their worlds keep colliding, their attraction increases. But first, they must overcome their own weaknesses and many other obstacles before one of the most famous courtships in history can begin.

This production ran to sell-out audiences both indoors (17th - 19th May 2018) and outdoors (matinee and evening 3rd June 2018). The Players are very grateful to the Shuttleworth Family for allowing us to use Nether Hall as our outdoor venue.
